Harvest Bible Chapel family, we want to announce a significant milestone in our history as a church. This weekend, we’re releasing a new logo for the church! More than just updating our visuals, we believe the new logo or brand identity better reflects who we are and are becoming as a church.

This new logo finds its roots in the biblical qualities our church has been known for and aspires to grow in.

Missional

The generous and intentional outworking of our faith – having that intentional presence in our communities through ministries, missions, and church plants.

Equipping

The discipleship, training, and preaching that empowers a person’s growth and readiness to fulfill the Great Commission.

Authentic

The humility in the manner and motive of the brand – both in how it presents itself and the community it creates.

Our new logo mark represents three key elements of our identity.

First, the top of the arrow; the softer-edged leaf. It reflects the plant imagery of our Marks of a Disciple.

  • Uniquely planted
  • Deeply rooted
  • Carefully pruned
  • Persistently fruitful

Second, the bottom of the arrow, the hard-edged unchanging elements of who Harvest Bible Chapel has been and will be, by God’s grace.

  • Expository preaching of God’s Word
  • Equipping the followers of Jesus
  • Growing dependence on prayer
  • Sending disciples on mission

Third, the arrow is an element that represents forward momentum for His kingdom, and because God loves us, we are sent out on mission for Him.

Our new brand typeface is Landry Gothic.

Landry Gothic is based on a wood type specimen called Gothic Light Face developed by William Hamilton Page in 1859. This type was originally carved by hand. We chose this font because we feel it captures the “grit” of Chicago and its timeless quality. It’s a font with a lot of history; it’s not a new font. It’s a font that’s been through some things but continues to be useful and valuable. As a church, we’ve been through some things together. But by God’s grace, we continue to be useful and valuable for His kingdom.

Each week as you leave a worship gathering, you’re reminded that You Are Loved. That continues to be true because God’s Word tells us that is true. Because you are loved, you are sent into the place God uniquely planted us (Chicago) and you—in your family, your neighborhood, your workplace, your school, your friendships, and for many of you, out into ministry beyond Chicagoland.

Simply put: Loved. Sent.

Watch for this new identity to show up across all of our campuses. First, in our outdoor signage and digital assets. Soon, you will see it inside our campuses and our ministries along with a new color palette.
